A Story of resilience and transformation
At Three Sixty, we believe construction is about more than buildings, it’s about creating places where people can put down roots and communities can grow. That’s why our work at Melford Road is more than just bricks and mortar, it’s a story of turning challenge into opportunity, with people at the heart.
Turning a Stalled Site into a Thriving Neighbourhood
The Melford Road development had faced major challenges. After the original developer went into liquidation in 2022, the site was left with partially built homes, some damaged and most were exposed to the elements.
Three Sixty took over later that year and our priority was to secure and assess what could be saved. What started as a recovery project quickly became a full scale rebuild transforming this corner of Stockport into a thriving new neighbourhood.
“It’s fantastic to see how far Melford Road has come. We’ve not only rebuilt homes but restored a sense of community here and that’s something we’re all proud of.”
John Weadock, Project Manager
Delivering Quality Homes, Step by Step
Phases 1 & 1b: We completed 36 homes which includes a mix of market sale and shared ownership, making sure every property met the highest standards. This included redesigning external areas to better suit residents and the local setting.
Phase 2: We’ve rebuilt 23 homes from the ground up. Careful planning and close coordination of sub-contractors has helped keep the programme resilient and securing key funding in line with schedule.
Phase 3: Works on two brand-new apartment blocks is already well underway, set to bring 28 modern homes and extra parking to the area by the end of the year.
“What makes this project special is knowing these homes will become part of people’s lives for years to come. That’s why getting it right matters to us.”
Lynne Shoesmith, Site Manager
Supporting Local Jobs and a Stronger Future
Throughout the project, we’ve worked together with trusted local suppliers and sub-contractors. This not only keeps quality high but also supports local employment and skills.
“The collaboration on this project has been brilliant. From suppliers to subcontractors, everyone’s pulled together to make sure we deliver quality homes, on time and on budget.”
Jarrod Normansell, Project Quantity Surveyor
And our work doesn’t stop with homes. Three Sixty also delivers high-quality construction projects for schools, community buildings and commercial spaces all with a commitment to reinvesting profits into local priorities.
“At the end of the day, it’s about more than bricks and mortar. We’re creating safe, modern spaces where families can put down roots.”
Warren Milne, Head of Construction
Looking Ahead
As Melford Road takes shape, it stands as a testament to what’s possible when quality construction, strong partnerships and a genuine care for local communities come together.
“We’ve developed a programme that’s built to handle whatever comes our way, from weather setbacks to supply chain issues, ensuring we deliver on our commitments to the community.”
Antony Sutton, New Build Manager
