Sheltered scheme residents thrilled with new accessible wet rooms

Posted 03 May 2019

We have been working on a 10-week project removing and replacing bathrooms in Oaktree Court sheltered scheme in order to improve the lives of the residents there.

Twenty-seven old, standard bathrooms have been converted into walk-in wet rooms, making them more accessible and modern. Two communal toilets have also been upgraded.

Please see below for before and after pictures:

“I am really happy with the works and Three Sixty have done a really good job with my bathroom.

I have had back surgery because I fell badly and the new bathroom is making my life a lot easier.

I can have my own showers (unsupervised) now, which I couldn’t do before. Very nice thing was that you didn’t know that they had even been in, that is how clean they left everything by cleaning after themselves.”

I am really happy with the work, they have done a wonderful job. I like the tiling very much and the wet room is very nice and easy to maintain and keep clean now.

My old bathroom was awkward and I kept banging into things. The new bathroom is easier to access and use and has more room to walk about. I don’t feel like I would fall over, you just pull the curtain away and away you go!

I lived in the flat while the works took place but they didn’t bother me too much – they went smoothly and the staff were professional and tidy.
