Building a brighter future

We have offered exciting career progression opportunities to four of our local employees. Our labourers will be completing a roofing apprenticeship to become qualified workers, which have been identified as lacking in the construction industry.

Andrew Donoghue, Jamie Markwell, Chantel Daniels and Liam Gee are all residents from across Stockport, with one of them being a Stockport Homes tenant. Within approximately two years, they will achieve NVQ Level 2 in roofing, slating and tiling. They will then be qualified roofers with the option to do another year and achieve NVQ Level 3.

Three Sixty are committed to investing in local talented workers as part of their dedication to help boost Stockport’s economy and provide opportunities. The employees agreed that they could see the difference in our approach compared to other companies.

Jamie said:

“We are all in our late twenties or early thirties, and I know there are not many construction firms who invest in people our age. Apprenticeships usually go to the 17 and 18 year olds, so Three Sixty have provided a really good opportunity for us here.”

For some of the employees, this is the first chance they have had to receive official qualifications. Chantel has been working in construction for four years, and Liam has been in the industry since he left school around 14 years ago. Both are looking forward to completing the apprenticeship.

Fellow employee Andrew said:

“I do really enjoy the job, and am hoping that completing this apprenticeship will allow me to have more responsibility and help me to move up in the industry.”
